MMW is perfect for those of you who don't have $150 to splurge on an exclusive music festival ticket. MMW is so cheap they even manage to squeeze in several free events. Basically, the festival is a university students dream come true!
Produced by the City of Melbourne MMW is unlike any other festival. As well as boasting a vast array of live music gigs the festival has several exhibitions and numerous connections with creative shops within Melbourne. As well as this, the venues are a display of the beautiful architecture that Melbourne has to offer.
The Highlights?
Not only are these two events 100 per cent free but they're also a great way to utilise your spare time.
Melbourne Music Market - November 24 - Held at Federation Square this wonder of a market incorporates old records, albums and zines all available to purchase as well as screenings of new music documentaries and concert films.
Millions at The Toff in Town - November 22 - By far one of the best live bands around, Brisbane band Millions are kindly playing a one off free event at The Toff in Town. Make sure you head down to this one because nothing bad ever comes from free things!
Where is it?
The festival prides itself on having a variety of Melbourne venues playing host to the array of events that MMW has to offer. However, if you're looking for the heart of the festival there will be a festival hub, but is yet to be announced. Check out the clues to where it is here.
