Everyone knows that one of Melbourne's best drawing cards is its extensive collection of street art and unsurprisingly people come from every corner of the globe just to see it. The city has numerous artists such as Ghostpatrol, Be Free and Kaff-eine all helping to make the city a hub of creativity and culture.
To save you scanning wall after wall in search of that spectacular collection, we've mapped out all the best spots in the city for you, free of charge!
Hosier Lane - Located right near Flinders Street Station, Hosier Lane is infamous for its street art. Be prepared to fight of hordes of tourists snapping up the lane ways wonders.
Degraves St - Although not as impressive as Hosier Lane, Degraves st still has a lot to offer. Keep your eyes peeled whilst munching on your lunch for some creative little paste-up works.
Croft Alley - Smack bang in the middle of China Town, right where you'd least expect it, is a wonderful collection of work. Pop down for some dim sims, prawn crackers and a quick squiz in the FAD gallery while you're there.
ACDC Lane - This little lane way isn't just for ACDC fans, there is a wide assortment of stencil, paste up and paint works. Best time to visit is during the night time so you can enjoy some of Melbourne's nightlife culture while you're there.
Fitzroy - You don't have to spend too long in Fitzroy before discovering an original piece of street art. This wonderful little suburb is easily the king of street art and there's something to fix your eyes on around every corner.
East Richmond - Although not a massive collection it still has a seriously amazing wall mural, best thing is you don't even have to get off the train to see it!
Franklin St - Melbourne Street Art Tours - It's no surprise that right where the Melbourne Street Art Tours leaves from there is a ridiculously impressive wall mural. This ones not to be missed and you can stop off for a bit off shopping at The Victorian Markets while you're there!
